Selected by the U.S. Air Force to serve as a DoD Civilian leader, Leah oversaw a complex and heavily regulated $400M nuclear contract at Kirtland AFB. Her talents and skill were quickly recognized and she was promoted to the Commander’s Office to deliver a multi-year base infrastructure project where she was tasked with securing congressional budget approval while meeting regulatory, fiscal, and interagency requirements all within just eight months.

Family Roots in Winter Park
Leah’s family has been part of the Winter Park & Fraser Valley community since the 1970s. Her dad’s cousin, Dr. Shauna Omlie, is the owner and beloved Veterinarian at Byers Peak Veterinary Clinic. Shauna’s late husband, Matthew Sutton, was a respected Engineer and service-oriented community member in the area. These roots anchor Leah’s genuine connection to Winter Park's heritage, culture, and people.
